Boats
LOCA members, guests and renters are reminded that remote-controlled boats, airplanes and drones are not permitted to be operated on, over or in the lake. This longstanding rule was put in place to protect the safety, privacy and quiet enjoyment of the lake, and will continue to be enforced by our patrolman.
Rules
All watercraft must be registered with LCOA before being placed in the lake.
Regulations on watercraft, registrations, and motor size
Boat size
Motor boats must be under 17 ft.
Motors and motorboats must be registered with the state of NJ.
Motor size
Maximum horsepower for motor boats is 50HP.
Must know facts about lake use
Only outboard or electric motors are allowed.
Each motorboat and each motor must be inspected PRIOR to being placed in the lake for the first time and be registered with the State of NJ.
No jet skis or hydrofoils are allowed.
Only boats registered to a LOCA member, that is a LOCA property owner, and having the proper current LOCA stickers may be on the lake.
NJ Boating license requires a Boating Safety Course to operate a motor boat. Non-residents must have a license from their state of residency.
