The Annual Buddy Bass Contest will be held on Saturday, June 25 at 8 A.M. We will meet and sign in with the Lake Patrolman in the middle of the lake.
The Regular General Membership Meeting of the Lake Owassa Community Association will take place on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Branchville Hose Company, corner of Broad Street and Railroad Avenue, Branchville.
Harmony in Motion They are the Sussex County's own acapella chorus of women barbershop singers. They perform lakeside at 229 East Shore Lake Owassa Rd. in July. Keep and eye on www.lakeowassa.org for date and time.
The Kids Sunny Contest will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 . Weigh in prizes will be awarded at 3 PM on the island.
4th of July Boat Parade — Decorate your boat and come on out and show your originality, spirit and en-ergy. Monday 4th of July, 11:00 am, all boats should meet at the floating dock in the cove. Judges are po-sitioned around the lake so be sure to follow the parade to the end.
July 23rd, Saturday - Annual Picnic (rain date Sunday July 24th). Come on out and bring your friends and family for a day of food, fun, games and mingling. Tickets are on sale through your area advisor or at the June Association meeting. $5.00 in advance, $8.00 at the door.

The Annual Adult and Kids Fishing Contests are in full swing. The contest for this seasonwill close on August 8, 2011.The 2012 contest will then begin on August 9, 2011. The weight stations are listed on the lake’s web site, and each station should have a fish flag at the wa-ter’s edge. The results for last year fishing contest are also listed on the LOCA web site.
August 27, Saturday 4:00—8:00 pm.Wine & Cheese—Join us on the Island with a bottle of wine and your fa-vorite snack to bring the summer season to a close. It’s a wonderful evening to kick back and relax with your neighbors over a casual cocktail or a game of horseshoes.
